ECOMATTERS ENVIRONMENT TRUST, CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Carla specialises in enabling community-led sustainability and climate action, playing a key role in growing initiatives such as EcoFest, Bike Hubs, and zero-waste and restoration programmes, all grounded in practical action and strong community engagement.
Her leadership connects grassroots action with strategic outcomes, working closely with councils, iwi, and community partners to deliver impactful, place-based solutions. She is particularly committed to equity and inclusion, ensuring programmes are accessible, culturally relevant, and responsive to diverse communities.

Daniel Barthow
BEAUTIFICATION TRUST, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Daniel Barthow has been the CEO of the Beautification Trust since 2020, where he focuses on the impact the organisation can have in supporting communities to live zero-waste lives, protect the environment, and reduce emissions.He brings to the committee a practical, hands-on approach and more than 20 years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector across a broad range of roles, including governance, community engagement, marketing, communications, and revenue generation.

Teresa joined Kaipātiki Project in 2025, continuing the work of a well-established community organisation with deep roots and strong relationships across Tāmaki Makaurau.
As one of the founding members of CCAN, Kaipātiki Project has played an important role in shaping the network since its inception.
Teresa continues this commitment as a member of the CCAN Steering Group, bringing a passion for people and nature alongside a strong commitment to collaborative leadership and community-led change.

Mike leads Waiheke Resources Trust, turning climate action and nature-led regeneration into practical results, proof that local leadership can set the national standard.
As Co-Chair of Environment Hubs Aotearoa, he connects that work to a nationwide network of community-led sustainability hubs. He believes the best solutions come from the people living the problem, and builds his work around backing communities to create a pathway forward.

Stacey Hill is Forest & Bird's representative on CCAN's Steering Group and Advocacy Subgroup. She works with network partners to identify opportunities for collective climate advocacy, share information and resources and empower members to engage with decision-makers on climate and environmental issues. -
