We, the Community Climate Action Network, invite you to our first Hui of 2026.
This is the first of three Campaign for Climate Hui this year. “Your Stories, Our Message” focuses on bringing together people working in community-led climate action across Tāmaki Makaurau to share experiences, challenges, and insights from the ground.
Collective Advocacy
The Hui will kick off with a brief introduction to our advocacy calendar: a community guide on where to advocate and when.
Facilitated Workshop
The remainder of the Hui will be centred around a facilitated workshop (not a speaker lineup), designed to create space for discussion, shared reflection, and identifying common themes across groups. The workshop is co-designed and facilitated by CounterFactual.
We’ll explore a guiding question together:
“Where does your work get stuck — and what would help make it easier?”
We’re interested in understanding where the work feels harder than it should be — the common barriers, patterns, and pressure points that many groups are navigating. These insights will help shape how CCAN represents the collective voice of the network in conversations with policy and funding decision-makers.
While we may not be able to take forward every issue raised, everything shared will help build a clearer picture of the sector and inform where collective advocacy can have the most impact.
Privacy and sensitive information will be respected, and space for confidentially will be provided as needed.
Lunch and Networking
We will pause the workshop at ≈1:00pm for a lunch and networking break.
Part two of the workshop will start after lunch and finish at ≈2:00pm.
While we would value your attendance at both parts of the workshop, we understand if you are only able to attend part one and lunch.
This is a chance to connect, collaborate, and contribute to a stronger, more aligned voice for community climate action in Tāmaki. Feel free to share this event with others in your network — the more perspectives in the room, the stronger the outcome.
